Lenten Sermon Series and Mid-week Learning

Mayan CalendarREvelations

2012 appears to be the year of the apocalypse as all eyes begin to turn toward the Mayan calendar which some say predicts the end of the world on December 21. Why do we have such a fascination, almost obsession, with things apocalyptic?

Join us on Sunday mornings! On Sunday mornings during Lent, beginning February 26, learn all about the history of apocalypticism from ancient times (the Incas, the Mayan and Native Americans) through to our day including the prophesies of Mother Shipton, Joseph Smith (founder of the Mormon Church) and Herbert Armstrong (founder of the Worldwide Church of God) and doomsday cults.

Join us for Mid-week learning!

On Tuesdays during Lent, beginning February 28, we will be studying apocalypticism in Judaism and Christianity and the Book of Revelation.
Is the Book of Revelation another prediction of the end of the world or perhaps does it offer a totally different message for us?
Soup Supper at 6 pm (free-will donation) with study at 7 pm begins February 28th.

What You Will Experience

All hymns and readings are displayed in large format on our projection screen.

Join our blended ancient/future with Bible based style of Worship in the Lutheran tradition.

We strive to be creative in our worship that we may honour God who created all things. Some ways to do this are:

By including all age groups,

By invloving the 5 senses - Sight, Hearing, Touch, Taste and Smell, and

By inviting guests to help lead our worship.

We involve our senses with bible based learning, creative liturgy, old and new favourite music and food for our spiritual journey. We celebrate the Lord's Supper every week.
